It's that time of year. Duke Gardens is beginning to overflow with the lush blooms and blossoms of spring.
These pictures are, again, for my photography class. I went out to Duke Gardens yesterday and snapped over 100 pictures. From those pictures I was required to submit three. I submitted four because I couldn't make up my mind which ones I liked best. Yesterday was breezy, and I went to the gardens in late afternoon, so the conditions were not ideal for good picture taking. I had to beg the flowers to stop waving in the wind long enough for me to take some close-ups. And I got yelled at by one of the caretakers for standing on the stone wall in the terraces.
Enough of my blathering. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. I'll share some more this week.

Rustic beauty! Great photos capturing it, too.
Beautiful. I hope to get there over the Easter vacation. I've been longing to go to the gardens, but it just hasn't happened yet. You've inspired me. :-)
Wonderful pictures. You have talent! I love the last one especially, stunning.
Beautiful - thanks for sharing !
Gorgeous! The third one is definitely my favorite, because of the light and shadow, how it gradually goes light-to-dark from left to right (sorry, I know almost nothing about photography terms, but I love art!). I have lived in this area for 7 years but have never been to Duke Gardens. Need to check it out!
