Aretha Franklin--"Ain't No Way." Good God, this song gives me chills. Listen to the song HERE.
Mary J. Blige--"Be Happy" (1994). This song is from the My Life album, arguably the best album she ever recorded, imho. Her voice is so raw and emotional in every track. You can literally feel her pain and her joy in every note. I would say "Be Happy" is my life song. It's so universal. Who doesn't desire to be happy? "Life is too short to be trying to play some games." Well said, Mary.
